For more than thirty years, photography has been my way of preserving moments, emotions, and places that leave a lasting mark on the heart.

Many of my photographs are inspired by journeys shared with my wife. Together we create memories, discover new places, and collect small moments that become part of our story. Sometimes, however, life takes us in different directions, and we travel separately. During those times, we often send postcards to one another — simple messages of love, longing, encouragement, and the promise that we will soon meet again.

Those postcards became the inspiration behind ZemkoArt.

I transform my photographs into painterly artworks inspired by the vintage world of the past — a time before digital screens, mobile phones, social media, and constant distractions. A time when people waited for letters, treasured postcards, and carried memories in their hearts.

Each artwork is an invitation to slow down and remember. A place once visited. A summer afternoon. A distant shoreline. A feeling that never truly leaves us.

Every piece is a small letter from somewhere in the world, carrying a story of love, nostalgia, and connection.
