"Le Temps Immobile" — The Time Stood Still.

Some moments arrive so unexpectedly that you instinctively reach for your camera, knowing they should never be forgotten. This was one of those moments.

The photograph was taken in Howth, on Ireland's east coast, while my wife and I were walking the trail towards the famous cliffs and lighthouse. Along the way, we came across a small local café. There were no expensive coffee machines, no polished interiors, and no pretence. If you wanted a coffee, they made you one. If you wanted to sit outside, you simply chose any chair you liked. The old, weathered furniture carried its own quiet charm, as though it had welcomed visitors for generations.

The locals treated the café as an extension of their home. Some quietly read the morning newspaper, others chatted about the weather, while a few simply enjoyed the sea breeze with a warm cup of coffee in their hands. It was beautifully ordinary, and that was exactly what made it unforgettable.

My wife and I sat together, enjoying what felt like the best coffee in the world—not because of how it was made, but because of where we were and how we felt. For a little while, time simply stopped.

Nearby stood an old, weathered Citroën, quietly watching over the coastline as if it had belonged there forever. Two carefree dogs wandered through the scene, completely at ease, with the Irish hills and the sea stretching endlessly behind them. It was one of those perfect, unplanned moments that no photograph could ever fully capture, yet I wanted to preserve it all the same.

This image is a reminder that life's greatest luxuries are often the simplest: a quiet place, a shared cup of coffee, someone you love beside you, and the feeling that, for just a moment, the world has stopped turning.
