Mediterranean Noon

"Mediterranean Noon" takes me back to the days when I had just met my wife, and every moment together felt new and unforgettable. Those were the days when butterflies filled my heart, and the world seemed brighter simply because we were discovering it side by side.

One of our journeys brought us to a beautiful town on Spain's Mediterranean coast. It was a place of elegant old buildings, magnificent churches, narrow cobbled streets, and sunlit squares that invited you to slow down and simply enjoy the day.

Every corner seemed to offer something special—small family restaurants, cosy cafés serving rich espresso, irresistible pastries, and wonderful local wines that made long conversations linger well into the afternoon. There was no need to rush. Life moved gently, following the rhythm of the Mediterranean.

I had already given up smoking, but I still smiled as I watched the locals begin their mornings with a tiny espresso and a slim cigarillo while the air was still cool. Before long, the warm midday sun would arrive, the streets would grow quieter, and the town would slip peacefully into its afternoon siesta.

It was a place that taught us how beautiful life can be when we slow down and appreciate the simple pleasures—a shared coffee, a walk through quiet streets, and the company of someone you love.

This photograph is more than a memory of Spain. It is a reminder of the excitement of new love, unforgettable journeys, and a season of life that will always remain close to my heart.
